Nose
Bold coastal smoke and iodine, with brine, citrus zest and green fruit.
Palate
Ashy peat and sea spray layered over lemon oil, vanilla and cereal sweetness, with a creamy malt character and a touch of waxy richness.
Finish
Long and drying, with lingering smoke, salt and oak tannins.
Thoughts
A 63.2% ABV, 50 PPM wonder of a dram! Distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2019, this eight-year-old Lochindaal has real depth and complexity. A shared cask between WFFA and The Whisky Pigs, and virtually impossible to get hold of anymore. Unobtainium!
