Bringing together whisky and good friends

Three Ships Whisky – Enjoyed Around the World (Fan Photos)

As you’ll know from my previous posts, I really enjoy the whiskies in the Three Ships range. It seems like quite a few of you out there like it too! That got me thinking… “I wonder where in the world are people enjoying their bottles of Three Ships Whisky?”

As a result, I’ve created this page where I will collect and display photos of you enjoying Three Ships all around the globe. When you take your photos, try and get the bottle and an interesting landmark in the shot, and email it through to me – mark@fr1day.co.za – with the details of when and where you took your photo and I’ll share the best ones here. So what are you waiting for? Get snapping! πŸ™‚

Ywain Penberthy – Makgadikgadi Pans, Botswana – April 2012
Three Ships whiskies on the Makgadikgadi Pans in Botswana
The day started like any other of my normal days. Bacon, egg, cheese, tomatoes, onions, hash brown, steak medium rare. Well, it is always a thoughtful wish, as I knew I was going to face a very long day ahead. We departed from the wonderful Kwa Nokeng Lodge at 7:10am, ready for a long and gruelling adventure to our final destination. With temperatures soaring to over 40 degrees, parched and dusty, time passed as it always does, and finally, at 17:06, we arrived at our destination which few have witnessed.

In the awe-inspiring Makgadikgadi Pans, the Three Ships majestically rose in the distance. We were saved! The clinking sound of the ice hitting the bottom of the metal cup was silenced by the sudden bathing of the nectar of the Cape. In our man-made oasis in the vast desert, we quenched our thirst while watching a once in a lifetime sunset with good friends and family. Thank you Three Ships.

I look forward to sharing your Three Ships stories, so please get in touch.
